Cognitive Training

Cognitive training is provided by occupational therapists (referred by registered medical practitioners) who develop personalized cognitive training plans for elderly individuals with early, middle, or late-stage cognitive impairments or Parkinson’s disease. This training occurs in a familiar environment, helping elderly individuals maintain cognitive function, delay cognitive decline, and improve their quality of life.

 Occupational therapists create cognitive training programs based on the individual circumstances of the elderly. These can be assisted by occupational therapy assistants, health workers, or personal care assistants, with regular assessments and adjustments to the training plans conducted by the occupational therapist.

 Cognitive training services can help elderly individuals improve (but are not limited to) the following cognitive functions:

  • Memory
  • Attention
  • Executive function
  • Language skills
  • Spatial awareness
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Social interaction skills
